Lets Explore Washington DC

So this trip starts at the tail of my adventure to Shenandoah National park. After quite a bit of driving I made it back to DC before the 7 pm sunset and was greeted by some of the best sunset views! I mean it is hard to take a bad photo of the reflection pool but this one is a gem for me!

Started off the next morning with an amazing cup of coffee from Dua Coffee Dc and a decadent passion fruit croissant!

I next I went to visit the Renwick Gallery subversive Skilled sublime fiber art by women exhibit.

The Renwick is listed as one of the least visited Smithsonian ‘s but I loved it. It was such a peaceful start to the day!

I then popped over to the Us botanical gardens where I spent far too little time but between how hot it was outside in DC and how hot it was in the green houses it is a place I will have to visit for longer in a cooler season

I Also Visited the National Portrait Gallery at The Smithsonian American Art Museum and saw a ton of amazing art. but the only thing I took photos of was the sitting area in the center of the building. The ceiling and architecture mesmerized me. I mean the galleries were great also but i think i sat here for an hour and just enjoyed the calm! I mean it is covered with a curved ceiling and it is so quiet and calm with water features! Just a gem! Overall an A++ building to visit in DC.

Snacks at Jane Jane before an embarrassingly long nap and dinner at EggHolic!

Night Time Bike Ride along the national mall

Woke up Late and after coffee started exploring the Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument Ran by the NPS it sits in the shadow of the capital.

While I really Enjoyed the national postal museum. I found myself taken with the amazing ceiling work in the building which sits on top of an old baseball diamond.

On my way to my next museum, I stumbled across a monument recognizing man-made famine as a source of genocide. it sat in front of an Irish pub and gives echoes to the current world events

Next stop, Ford’s theater which still has productions every year. Once again the NPS and the Rangers made this experience great!

Last Stop Of the Trip! National Museum of Women in the Arts.

Okay so I need to give my lodgings a shout out The Tabard Inn D.C. was so much fun to stay in. They are well known in the community and in the winter they still have a wooden fire place that the run!
