A New England Road Trip: Day 0!
Wanna join me on my exploration of New England - Road Trip Style?
Day 0 started out with a flight into Boston and a quick visit to Salem Massachusetts! This was an amazing stop and it made me regret only having a few hours to walk the streets! Officially, I want to go back during the fall to this seasonal haven!
The mood of the area was solemn at the Salem Witch Trials Memorial. I got to read some the accounts of people who's stories were cut far to short.

I also got to see the two most famous statues in Salem! Also, all of the down town light poles were decorated with busts!
My next stop was Nubble Lighthouse on Cape Neddick. I loved getting to see this area with the foggy backdrop! it was strait out of a novel! Next up, I drove through Ogunquit. It was super charming but the weather had driven so many inside that I was unsuccessful in finding parking.
The next chance to stretch my legs on the drive was Wiscasset. The line at Reds Eats was relatively short, so I stopped in for one of there iconic lobster rolls. Now, I will be honest with you, this was a good lobster roll, but if the line had been any longer it would not have been worth the time to food ratio. Just saying....
I continued on my drive and crossed Penobscot Narrows Bridge! This bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that is notable for having the tallest public bridge observatory in the world at its top. It was the marker that let me know I was close to Acadia! One day I hope to be able to go up to the observatory, but the fog ruled that adventure out this trip. I arrived to my campsite at Blackwoods Campground and set up my tent, and crawled in right before the rain arrived!
