Day 9: Northern California Road Trip!
Early in the night we were awakend by a bright light beaming into our room at the Inn of the Lost Coast. Which was unexpected since the area tries very hard to preserve its dark skies. Turns out it was a moonset over the Pacific ocean. A moonset is the time when the Moon disappears below the horizon. Getting up to watch this was truly a unexpected highlight of the trip.
The next morning I went to venture off to the Cafe's near Abalone Point in the area and oh how pretty the town and views were!
To make it back to San Fransico for our flight we ventured down Highway 1! It was just as amazing as everyone makes it out to be and felt like landscapes from a puzzle!
The last thing we did was watch sunset at the golden gate bridge before catching our read eye back to Atlanta. The sunset painted a breathtaking view of the city. I want to go back to the city and explore it proper on another adventure!
