Adventures in Spain: Day 13
City Strolling in madrid. So we woke up and had nothing on the agenda due to most of our tickets getting canceled. So we took the opportunity to just wonder the city!
Turns out the reason we could not visit the palace since the king was visiting and it is his private residence. So overall I think Madrid was the most city of our trip but I will chalk it up to the rainy weather, the removal of all of the Christmas decorations, and the closures! I feel like this city needs to be experienced in spring when all is blooming. So maybe in a few years when the Crystal Palace is renovated and if the flights are affordable I will get to explore it again!
Train Ride to Barcelona!
So my first stop back in Barcelona was back to La Pastisseria. The passion fruit cheese cake was a thing of great wonder and i will dream about it. So I broke one of my travel rules and went back to the store first thing after we got back in barcelona.
No trip to Barcelona would be complete with out Fideuà. Fideuà is a Catalan dish similar to paella, made with noodles instead of rice. So we went to celebrate our last night in the country and city to El Cangrejo Loco. El Cangrejo Loco serves mediterranean dishes with Catalan cava & wine at a stylish seafront bistro with multiple terraces.
The last stop on our Journey was Sips! Sips is known as the number three in the list of the World's 50 Best Bars 2024. “One of the many jewels in Barcelona’s crown as one of Europe’s top cocktail destinations is Sips, a bar where every drink is a masterclass in technique. Borrowing from the city’s long-held history of molecular gastronomy, the venue injects theatrical science into all its creations, which resulted in it placing at No.3 in The World’s 50 Best Bars” [ 0 ]
